My Truth Has Wings Postcard

This is my second attempt at make stitching My Truth Has Wings so I can make it into a postcard.

The first one was blue and yellow and didn’t quite work.  But it primed me for my second try.  I painted the wings first then did the stitching.

I don’t think I’ve ever used the same idea twice in this way.  My first “My Truth Has Wings” was a fabric painting using parts of an old quilt.  This one I made so I can have it printed as a postcard.  I made it the right size and more simple and graphic.

Not only am I finding that the truth really is freeing, but it want’s to be known.

I’ll send this photo off to Brad at A&M Printers and hopefully have my postcard soon.

  1. Oh, that’s really nicely done. And the colors lend significance, don’t they? the passion of the red, and the clear hopefulness and optimism of the bright yellow. So you.
