“The unsinkable Molly Brown famously said, “Money is like manure. It does best when sprinkled about” Not an exact quote but one I thought you could relate to, given your acquaintance with that big shovel.”
I laughed when I read the message Marilyn sent me with her donation to my blog.
But I also understood just what she was getting at. It’s when I’m tight for money that I’m more likely to make a small donation to a worthy organization, or buy a friend a cup of tea.
I’m not sure why, maybe because I can relate to the need better, or because it makes me feel better to do something for someone else.
I make my living in a few different ways. I sell my art, sell the wool from my sheep, will soon be selling wool pellets for the garden, and I write, take pictures and videos that I post on my blog three to four times a day, six days a week.
If you enjoy seeing my videos, the pictures from the farm and my walks in the woods, if my writing speaks to you, or you learn something watching my creative process, you can easily make a donation of any amount to help my blog here.
Just yesterday a friend stopped by and saw me coming out of the barnyard with my bag over my shoulder. She joked about how I take my purse to feed the animals. It was of course my iPhone in my shoulder bag because I’m always ready to take a picture or video always ready to record my thoughts into my iPhone to write about on my blog later.
I love my work and I thank all of you who make monthly and one time donations. And thanks to everyone who buys my art and shows their support in that way.
You know how it works, if everyone who watches my Monday Morning Video donated a dollar I wouldn’t have to ask for donations at all.
So if you can, if you’d like to, you can make a one time or monthly donation to my blog here using PayPal or Venmo. My monthly donations range from $1 to $50 and I appreciate one time donations in any amount too. You can also send a check to Maria Wulf PO Box 205 Cambridge NY 12816.
It all helps to pay for the time I put into my blog and in the upkeep and expenses of my blog.
So thank you to everyone reading this who has already donated to my blog or supports my work by buying my art. And if you’ve never donated to my blog before but will today, this is a chance for me to thank you in advance for your support.
