I started piecing together the parts of my Not Going Back quilt today. It took me most of the day to get started, to figure the first two parts to sew together. But once I committed to sewing the them, the others started to come.
That’s how it works.
I have to actually sew two pieces of fabric together. There is only so much planning. It’s the leap of faith, the action that creates the spark which sets the process in motion.

This is a four sack that I sewed onto a piece of 1970s colonial revival fabric. The man and woman are actually candles. The man has a candle snuffer, coiling like a snake from his base. No thank you.

I had a small section of waning moon lace left over from my Old Tree, New Life fabric painting. I put a piece of black fabric behind it which made the moons pop and works with the black stitching.

These were the last few I pieced together. More of the black fabric behind the lacey crocheted diamond shapes.
I’m looking forward to work on it again tomorrow.

It will be a timepiece, like the Covid kimono.
Ah, you’re right Carolyn .
Oh, good grief! I laughed out loud when I read your comment. A candle snuffer. No, thanks indeed
Ha! I love that you picked up on that KJ.
