Sewing The Backing For My “Not Going Back” Quilt

I hoped to get the backing and batting put together on my Not Going Back quilt today, but didn’t get that far.  I did wash the fabric for the backing and get it pieced together.

When I laid the top of the quilt on the backing I saw that I did some extra work sewing a strip of fabric to the backing thinking it was too small.

Not sure what I was thinking, but I didn’t get much sleep last night and was up early, so I’ll use that as an excuse. I wanted to get more done, but by the time I got to this point, I was just worn out.

Tomorrow Jon has his follow up appointment at the eye doctors and I’ll be going back to Bellydancing. I skipped last week because my neck and back were hurting from the accident.  I’ve been to my chiropractor and it’s much better, but I’m still not sure how much I’ll be able to dance.  I’ll find out tomorrow.

I do hope to get some work done on the quilt in-between Jon’s appointment and class.  I want to finish it before I do anymore work on the Not Going Back Potholders.  I’m not sure how realistic it is to think I can do both by the end of the week, but I guess I’ll find that out too.
