I knocked this bright green caterpillar off the gate when I opened it this morning. I didn’t want him to be stepped on, so I put him on the fence post and took this video.
Jon got a great photo of the caterpillar and a Daddy Long Legs on the post. I was wondering what they would do when they met, but they didn’t seem so interested in each other.
I’ve seen this happen before. Some insects eat each other. But many live side by side peacefully. Yesterday I watched an ant, an inch worm and a tiny speck of a bug come together then each go their own way.
This caterpillar will turn into a Spinx Moth.
