When Fate is near the sheep, all she want’s to do is run around them. She doesn’t want to herd them, she doesn’t do that, even though she’s a border collie and looks like she want to herd them. They’re more likely to make her move than her them.
And she does’t just run around them on her own, she’s waiting for me to tell her to run. It doesn’t make sense, but it’s one of those things we do together.
And, like when I’m at work, when Fate is around sheep everything else falls away.
Fate is a master at running through tight spaces, and avoiding anything in her path, object or animal. When I let her into the barnyard in the morning, she weaves her way thought the legs of donkeys and sheep to get to where she wants to go. Which is right on the other side of them.
Once there, she crouches like a classic border collie and waits for my command.

Fate has such a concentrated presence with her eyes on you and that little front leg raised awaiting your command to “get the sheep”! I always smile and sometimes (depending upon my mood), it cracks me up!
She does the same for me Lois!
