A Short Walk In The Woods

Leaf, mushroom.  So much of life looks like leather in the fall.

I hurt my foot.

I use my feet to open close those old doors in our house that stick in certain weather.  A little kick and they do what I want.

But it’s been a couple of weeks that my foot has been hurting.  I was ignoring it, trying to wish the injury away.  But it wasn’t working.

It got bad enough that I skipped Bellydancing last night.

But today I found if I don’t bend my toes, if I walk on my heal without putting too much pressure on the ball of my foot, it doesn’t hurt.

It’s been a while since I’ve taken a walk in the woods because of it.   But today I went slow, thoughtful of my foot, and took a short walk.
