As soon as I saw the picture of Suzy’s shawl I thought of Zinnias on these warm autumn days.
That deep rose and soft peach were the colors of so many of the Zinnia’s that grew in my garden until just last week. And when I saw that curly line of white locks along the rose mohair, I though of the frost that edged each flower and leaf like lace.
The rose mohair comes from Suzy’s angora goats, Alice, April, Ruth and Lucy. ” It’s really soft,” Suzy told me, “and has some alpaca in it too.”
Like all of Suzy’s shawls, Rose and Pink Zinnia is hand spun and hand knit. It is as soft and warm as it looks. It is a unique piece of wearable art.
