I worked on my Red Chakra Quilt today. It was warm enough again to leave my door open. It made no difference to the lady bugs if my door was opened or closed, they still gathered on my ceiling and in my windows.
Maybe it’s the warm weather after a week of frost. They float in pairs, as if they’re hanging onto each other, in the animals water bucket till I scoop them out.
But they’re not bothering me, whatever their business is, they’re keeping it to themselves.

I pieced together the back of Red Chakra, and got it sewn together with the batting. Now all I have to do is tack it. I will be using red yard.

Red Chakra waiting to be tacked.

Maria, this is gorgeous! I’ve always loved traditional quilts with their many colors, but you’ve reminded me how beautiful and calming a single color scheme can be. You just want to wrap yourself up in it! Love everything about this.
Thank you Cherly. :)
