I did not do what I expected and, even wrote I would do, when I went into my studio this morning.
My plan was to finish my Orange Elephant Potholders that I started last week. But my Happy Home Potholders called to me. So I stitched and painted them instead. (I explain it all in the video)
But I don’t want to neglect my Orange Elephants.
I would just finish them up on Monday, but Jon and I are going to Boston on Monday and Tuesday. We’re going to see the Georgia OKeeffe and Henry Moore Exhibit. Mostly for O’Keeffe, since her painting of flowers have been so important to Jon and his flower photographs.
So I will finish my Orange Elephant Potholders tomorrow and put them up for sale in my Etsy Shop in the afternoon.
It was such a joy to work on my Happy Home Potholders today. I have not always had a happy home. It’s really just in the past sixteen years, since Jon and I got together, can I say that my home has been truly a happy one.
Below are eight of the Happy Home Potholders I stitched and painted today. As you can see they are all slightly different, especially the hanging succulent, with is called “String of Hearts.”
