We had so many apples this year, and they were so sweet, I even made some apple sauce from the crabapples.
This little spotted yellow apple fell into the hydrangea bush and got wedged in the crook of its branches.
I plucked it out and gave it to Fanny who watching me from the fence, nickering softly.

Maria, I think you have a Liberty Apple there. A crabapple would be much smaller and are usually red. I had a Liberty Apple Tree in Connecticut, and they were very sweet, I even brought some to your farm for the donkeys.
Oh That’s interesting Uta. I can imagine that Florence who lived her before us may have planted it. I’m going to pay more attention to it. Thanks for letting me know. And I love that you bought some for the donkeys. :)
What a happy donkey!
