I have a lot of nervous energy this morning because of the election. Maybe after I vote I’ll feel a little calmer.
The line was long outside the small old school house that is now our town hall. The place where we vote.
But we’re fortunate because NYS makes voting easy for us. The polls are open from 6am -9pm and all we have to do is sign in next to our names to vote.
And because we live in such a small town, even when there is a line it goes quick. We often know someone on the staff at the polling station and even if we don’t they are always friendly and helpful.
I like to keep my hands moving when I’m feeling this way.
This morning I tied more blue bailing twine onto my art piece on the gate. And back in the house I did another drawing of my blogging chair. Suzy’s shawl is hanging over the back of it and the folds have been enticing me.
Now I’m going to work on my new Scrap Art pieces in my studio and this afternoon I’ll go to the Food Pantry to help unpack the weekly order that comes from the warehouse.
I’ve kept away from the news the past few weeks, only checking in once in a while. All the back and forth with the polling is like watching the stock market.
But I’m determined to exude positive energy today. Even if it is a bit jumpy.

I think many of us feel the same way today. I am doing deep cleansing breaths often and saying silent prayers.
Women and independents and new, young voters seem to be turning out, hope it’s enough! Big hugs to everyone!
I hope so too Gwen. I did feel better after voting, I think the act of doing something.
It is late as I read this and I am hoping I can sleep. I too am anxious taking deep breathes.
I watched my grandson so his dad could help with campaign. That helped me fell like I was doing my part.
It’s what we can do Laurie. Good for you.
