I got to my studio after voting. There was a line out the door, but then the old school house we vote in isn’t that big. Every time I vote I think that I’d like to work the polls. Today we stood behind a woman who did just that for a few years. She was encouraging. I think I’ll do it at some point, I’ll trust I’ll know when the time is right.
I began my day by finishing up the bit maroon wallhanging. (I didn’t take a picture but I will tomorrow in the daylight) Then I got side tracked with a couple of potholders. But they weren’t flowing. The problem was that potholders are too small and I needed to work on something bigger.
It was the old hand sewn quilt square that got my attention. It came in a box of fabric that someone had recently given me.
Using the scraps that are scattered on my floor I made the piece above. I think it will be a quilt, I can’t imagine not continuing to work on it. It’s coming together so easily and I have the feeling it wants to keep growing.

“A room of one’s own” comes to mind seeing your last picture
That’s exactly it KJ. So important to have.
I like this one!
:)
I wonder how I could have missed seeing those wall hangings before.
I really like them – they remind me of the kind of abstract paintings I like
That’s how I see them LoisJean. But not I got side tracked with the quilt I’m working on it. I’ll get back to them though. I’m just going with what feels good right now :)
