Almost, I almost finished my Acorn quilt today. But Jon had an appointment with his foot doctor then I went right to the food pantry to help unload the truck that comes with its weekly delivery.
Last week they got such a small load I got there fifteen minutes late and it was all done. This week there was more to unpack. Even though Sarah places an order each week, they never know what they’ll get.
After I got home from the pantry, I had a load of paper work to catch up on.
But I have just a few more rows of yarn to tie then I just have to stitch the name of the quilt, my initials and the date. If all goes as planned I’ll have it done tomorrow morning.

The backing fabric reminds me of the wallpaper in my Grandma’s extra upstairs bedroom at the farm where I slept with my sister. I loved waking up to see that lovely floral pattern after sleeping on the horribly uncomfortable tick mattress under the eves. The memory is so detailed, even the smell from the chamber pot under the bed. Some memories are filled with all the senses. And other memories are just a wisp, or completely lost. I never know what detail (like your fabric) will bring one back.
oh that’s an amazing memory from the fabric LoisJean. I will think of your story when it use the fabric again. I can feel and smell it!
