I got to know Hser Nay in Sue Silverstein’s art class at in 2020. Now Hser Nay is in college, she wants to be a lawyer and I have no doubt she will do whatever it is she chooses.
Back then I was teaching the kids in Sue’s class to sew. The first thing they made were small pillows.
The kids in Sue Silverstein’s art class are still sewing. During the holidays, they like to make pillows and stuffed animals using the fabric, thread and patterns many of you have sent them. Many of the kids don’t have money for Christmas gifts, so they sew their family and friends gifts in Sue’s class.
For those gifts, they need lots of Poly-fil stuffing.
I just send a five pound bag of Poly-fil to Sue’s class, but she can use more. So if anyone reading this has left over pillow stuffing sitting in the back of your closet not being used, Sue would love to have it for her class.
You can send it to:

And Thank you!
Every Friday Sue writes a column on Jon’s blog about the students in her class and what they are doing. You can see her latest here.

Sent a bag via Amazon to Sue tonight
