My Evergreen Birds, Winter Potholders

I used the last bird from the scrap of William Morris fabric today.  Now I have 12 Evergreen Bird Potholders designed and will finish sewing them into Potholders next week.

Most of the fabric I used to surround the birds came from one plastic bag of scraps.  The fabric had a wintery feeling to it.  The kind of greens that remain when the rest of the trees and bushes are bare.

There were plenty of golds and rich rusty colors in the bird fabric to give the potholders warmth.  Like a candle in the night, surrounded by the hope that Evergreen trees represent.
