Now it’s cold enough for me to keep both wood stoves going all day. I’m not stacking it as I would in the winter, but when we get up in the morning the coals are still hot enough to start a fire again without a match.
I did a drawing of the stove in the dining room over the weekend. It’s the wood stove that used to be in my studio at Old Bedlam Farm. I was very happy when we brought it to our new home. Jon and I spent many days sitting in front of that wood stove talking when we just getting to know each other.
Now we sit in front of it every day talking and eating our meals together.

How nice that you have that reminder of the early part of your relationship still with you. I don’t know if I would have thought of bringing the woodstove from one home to another.
We didn’t at first, but then we realized we needed a stove and it just made sense, especially since we had a hard time selling.
