Pink lay on my studio floor, batting side up, like a blanket of snow. The quilt was already pinned together, top, backing and batting. First thing I did when I got to my studio was sew it together.
Then, since it was cold and I needed to warm up, I danced to one of the fast songs that we will play at our Bellydancing Hafla this Wednesday. We always have a Hafla this time of year. It’s a celebration sometime with food and always with dance.
Dancing is a good way to start the day, especially when it’s cold enough to be winter and the heat in my studio hasn’t come up yet. It warms my body in a way electric heat can’t.
Of course I used pink yarn to tack Pink. I almost got it done, but Jon had an appointment to get the brace he wears for his left foot adjusted and I was going with him.
Tomorrow I’ll have just two more rows to tack, then I can cut and tie the yarn. The last thing, as always, will be stitching the title, my initials and the date.
“Pink” is sold.
