Jon follows the light. Indoors and outdoors, he’ll move his Calla lilies or cut flowers into the sunlight to take their picture.
His focus is striking, I can feel it even if I don’t know where he is. It’s as if he is surrounded in a hush.

This morning I watched him through the living room door way.
He does that kind of looking that I know well from my own work. I don’t know what he’s seeing until he shows me his pictures. I do know that if I were looking at the same thing, I’d see something different.

I love to watch a person work, no matter what they are doing, when they are engaged and do it well. I don’t know if you can feel Jon’s concentration in these pictures, maybe it’s just that I know the feeling so well, it’s so familiar to me that I can see it clearly.

YES! Maria, I too, feel Jon’s concentration!! This is why his photos are so engaging
Thank you for letting me know you can see it Marilyn!
A moment in time…Your photos remind me of an Edward Hopper painting. Jon’s focus on his work comes across in each pose.
That’s lovely Kathy. Thanks.
