That’s the top of my Bird quilt laying face to face with the back of it. Next I trimmed the edges and pinned the batting and two layers of fabric together.
Then I sewed it all together.
I chose brown yarn to tack it with. Here I am tying the knots.
I got it all done except stitching the quilts name, my initials and the year. It will be my first quilt of 2025.
I like that I came up with my new pillow idea on New Year’s eve and finished my Bird quilt on New Years day. Jon and I don’t celebrate the holiday, I’ve never found meaning in it. But I like the idea of starting something new at the end of the year and finishing something else on the beginning of the year.
A bit backwards really, but that suits me.
