I was excited to the see Enchanting Threads, an exhibit of Salley Mavor’s art at the Albany Institute today (a few people told me about it). It was the perfect day since Jon has an appointment in Albany to get his brace adjusted.
Then I remembered that many museums are closed on Tuesday and the Albany Institute is one of them. I didn’t have to look far to find that there’s a Bernice Abbott exhibit at the Albany State Museum.
There’s also an exhibit there called Margery Ryerson: Art is Contagious that looks interesting to me. I’ve never heard of her, but she sounds like an inspiration.
I’ll get to the Salley Mavor exhibit, just not today. I’ll be back later with some photos from the museum.
