Winter Grazing

Even though there is snow on the ground and there is not much for the sheep and donkeys to eat, they still go out to graze.

Yesterday it snowed most  of the day.  I went looking for the donkeys in the back pasture and the sheep followed me.

Constance pushed aside the snow and dug a small hole with her nose to get at something that smelled good enough to eat.

The sheep and donkeys go places they won’t in the spring and summer to find something to eat.  Lori is in the marsh which is usually too wet for animals to walk though.
