It was Jon’s idea, “Why not have a Picture of the day on your blog,” he said. Something that speaks to that day on the farm.
I always bristle a bit when Jon offers up an idea to me. I can be possessive about my work. But a day or two later the idea kept coming back to me. And I thought it a good one.
Jon had mostly forgotten about it, but when I mentioned to him I was thinking of his “Picture of the day” idea he was, I think, a bit surprised.
So this is my first Picture of the Day.
I took it on the way back from our walk in the woods. It was already evening and the light leaving, but when Fate ran into the pole barn and circled Lulu, who completely ignored her, I took this picture.

I dig it Maria! Please keep it up.
Great pic!
Thanks Larry, looks like it is a very good idea….:)
Love this idea!
Thanks Cathy, I think it’s going to work!
Maria, it is a wonderful idea. The picture of the day.
Thanks Eileen, I’ll let Jon know…
Maria, Fate is sooo intense at whatever she is doing. I will think of Fate with Joy as I bring a new rescue doggie named Freddie into my home. Freddie has been fostered by me in the past, because when he arrived at our rescue as a puppy, he was just “odd”. Twitching at strange times and not enjoying being touched or cuddled. We finally concluded that he has some sort of “neurodivergent “ syndrome and will never be able to be adopted. So I am taking him back into my home with my big female Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue and giving them both a good life. I will never really know what Freddie is thinking, but that is ok as long as he is happy!
Marilyn, I think Freddie hit the jackpot with you. And I can just imagine what a wonderful dog he will be for you in return. Good luck to the two of you!
Sorry to say it Maria, because I understand how you felt, however, it is a very good idea from Jon!
Greetings from a lovely, hot, sunny Cape Town. Diane Sabath.
Btw, it’s a great photo .
Ah, success with the first photo. I guess I’ll have to let Jon know again it was a good idea. That will make him happy to hear. :)
