Notes From The Morning Barn Yard

Cold again.

Yesterday’s snow melted by the afternoon, but this morning it is magically back again.

I scoop snow from the hay feeders and fill them generously with second cut.

In the pole barn, Fate runs through the pile of frozen sheep pellets scattering them like buckshot.

The sun doesn’t  show up till I fill the water bucket.  It throws long purple shadows in the pock-marked snow.
