White Hen is doing miraculously better today.
This morning I took her off the roost and put her on the hay bale to make sure she knew where the food and water was. She started eating and drinking immediately, but it seem like she didn’t know it was there, until it was right in front of her.
When I checked on her in the afternoon she was sitting on the hay bale and had eaten half the food in her bowl. She was pecking at the seeds that spilled out of the dish onto the hay bale and wiping her beak on the hay as chickens do.
She was very chatty too as you can see in the video.
Since she was spending so much time on the hay bale, I got her another so she’d have a bit more room. I imagine she’ll roost on the makeshift gate again tonight. Chickens like to roost at night.
She was doing so much better this afternoon than this morning. I’m not sure if she’s recovering, that she needed the food and water, or if she’s rallying.

She looks beautiful Maria. I am glad for her and you, and for any time that remains. Thank you for your kindness.
It makes me happy to know white hen is doing better and looking good. You always do wonderful things for your animals and they show their love for you.
:)
Wonderful to see. I love her vocals! Certainly seems happy and she’s letting you know!
I hope she continues to rally.
She does sound happy Peg and she’s doing even better today.
It sounds like she is telling her story to us or happy she is.
I’m glad she’s back.
It does Laurie, like she needs to say it.
