When I emptied today’s compost in the circle of snow it looked so beautiful, I had to take a picture.

“Still life of scraps”. In more ways than one – artistically and ecologically: It is both still, and still has life to offer the environment. Ah, nice thoughts Amy. I was thinking of it as something pretty, you took it further.
That is just beautiful. We did have about 6 in of snow this Winter but in 3 days it was gone thank goodness, People don’t know how to drive down here, and the streets don’t get plowed. My compost does not look as good as yours or as pretty, but it functions well.
And I have no doubt your compost grows beautiful flower Uta. Six inches is a lot for where you are. I’m glad it didn’t last.
