I packaged up 60 dryer balls today. Twenty bags with three in each. They are all sold but I’m going to be making more, because I have orders for more.
I have not put them up for sale in my Etsy Shop, but when I make more if they are not sold, I will. So if you’re interested in Bedlam Farm Dryer Balls, you can email me at [email protected]. They are 3 for $20 + $5 shipping.
I also have one skein of Merricat’s wools still available (the last 3 ply skein of yarn), some of Asher’s Roving, and Robin’s Rug Yarn. All for sale in my Etsy Shop.
“I anxious to try the dryer balls – especially because I know the names of your precious sheep!” Leanne, wrote to me after buying my Dryer Balls.
That’s what make them and all my wool special, that connection of knowing where they come from.
The way so much of what we buy is manufactured, we are separated from much that is a part of our daily lives. We usually don’t know where it comes from or how it is made.
I feel the same about my sheep and yarn as I do about planting a garden.
Knowing the sheep by name and their individual personalities, seeing their day to day lives, the process of their wool growing and being shorn then made into yarn, roving and dryer balls, forms a connection that is often lost in our society.
And through my blog you also know not only the sheep, but the people involved in that process including our shearer Ian McRae and Lewis Cleale who makes my wool into yarn at Nobletown Fiber Works. He cares enough about the wool that he wants to know what all of you who buy it, make from it.
When I pick beans or dig potatoes from my garden, I have a great appreciation for them and in turn have a greater understanding of what goes into growing the food that I buy in the grocery store. And gratitude for it.

I love my dryer balls!!! Last year I had lots of questions about how to use them & you were wonderful to answer them. Over this past year, we’ve also discovered a fun game – sometimes the balls get caught up in the clothes & it’s a “where’s Waldo” moment. We also have two labs who like to try to get them when they fall out of the dryer when we’re removing the clothes. :-) Btw…I also love your packaging & seeing who the wool came from. It makes them even more special. Thank you again!!!
Oh Thank you Viki, I love hearing that. You’re dogs are better than ours. I can’t keep dryer balls because when they do roll out of the clothes, Bud always seems to find them before I do. He loves to shred them!
