I got so much work done today, so many loose ends that needed to be resolved. But it all took place upstairs in my office/guestroom. It doesn’t make for a good picture, not one that I thought to take anyway.
Most of my Bedlam Farm Dryer Balls are on their way to their new homes. I just have a few left to mail out and maybe a couple of more bags to sell. I’ll finish making my White Hen Walk About Potholders and send them off on Monday. Most if not all of those are already sold.
I wasn’t thinking about it this way, but by the time Friday comes around I’ll have things in order enough to really be able to relax and enjoy our three days off.
In a little while I’ll head out for my Bellydancing class. I will have to write more about it, but even though I still have doubts about my dancing, I have moved to a new level. Last week, Kathleen, who has been Bellydancing for over thirty years, told me that now I know what I’m doing and it just about finessing the details.
I still get nervous when I lead but keep reminding myself to have fun, to not think so much and try to “be” in the music.
Also we have some new students in the class and that helps me to see how far I have come. Now there are times when I am taking the lead and helping them.
As I sit in my chair in the corner of the living room writing this a little black and white checkered, red capped woodpecker is sitting on the chimney outside the window. Fate is curled up sleeping a few feet from me. Jon is in his office writing and I feel a sense of peace I haven’t in a long time.
Maybe it’s the coming days off, a winding down and letting go. I’m going to do my best to hold on to this feeling.

I hope class, and your time with Jon brings joy and peace.
:)
