If You’re Unhappy With The Trump Administration, Send A Postcard To The White House On Saturday March 15th

A postcard is a little thing, mine no bigger than 4 inches by six inches.  And yet, with the image on the front and the writing on the back it can say so much.

The thing about a postcard, unlike a card in an envelope,  is that everyone who handles it, from the sender to the mail clerks, to the mail carriers to the person who receives it, gets to see it.

One post card is a small thing, but a hundred postcards becomes something bigger  and a thousand something grand.  More than that, well it could be an art form, a movement a statement for sure.

If  you’re unhappy with the current  Administration and you’ve been thinking of sending a message to the president, or you’ve already send one or more and want to send another, Saturday, March 15th is the perfect time to do it.

This is not my idea, but one that is getting around.  A friend told me about it, and since then I’ve heard about it several more times. So I’m sharing it with you all here.

The idea is for lots of people to send a post card to the White House making Donald Trump aware of the opposition to him.  The postcards should be mailed on March 15th as a show of unity.

Your voice will be stronger because it will be accompanied by so many other voices and those other voices will be stronger because of yours.

It’s called Postcards to Trump:

“On March 15th, many people will mail Donald Trump a postcard that publicly expresses our opposition to him. And we, in vast numbers, from all corners of the world, will overwhelm the man with his unpopularity and failure.”

“Each of us — every protester from every march, each congress calling citizen, every boycotter, volunteer, donor, and petition signer — if each of us writes even a single postcard and we put them all in the mail on the same day, March 15th, well: you do the math.”

“Write one postcard. Write a dozen! Take a picture and post it on social media tagged with #TheIdesOfTrump ! Spread the word! “

I’ll be sending one of my “My Truth Has Wings” postcard to the White House tomorrow.

Here’s the address if you’d like to send a post card too…

President Donald Trump
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20500

    1. I bought about 15 postcards, all brightly colored photos of our beautiful National Parks, and flag stamps, which I put upside down on them. It was really fun. No threats, just my mind spilling out on the message part!!

  1. Great idea. Sending 3, including one of the crocheted gun. They’re not very legible, since I broke my hand yesterday, but they will go with gusto!

    1. Ah I love that you’re sending my crocheted Gun Post card and two others Jeanne. And I love that you’re sending them no matter what your handwriting. But I’m really sorry to hear you broke your hand! Take good care.

  2. Hello Real Americans, I wish I would have known about this earlier! I am a Letter Carrier, and have been brought to tears with the amount of postcards I have picked up from my route today! I must admit I have read almost all of them! I had to quit, in order to not do the “ugly cry”, as USPS is next in line for the “chainsaw”.

    1. OH Paula, I got chills reading your message! the message did come late to me, but it still seems from what you say to have worked. I love that you read the messages. thank you for letting us know here. Our post offices are so important especially in rural areas and for many older people. Who knows what the backlash will be if those cuts are made.

    2. Dear Paula,
Thank you So Much for the work you do! (Unlike Unelected Elon, we appreciate your work & dedication!)
I really appreciate that you read the cards… I sent 4 of the & wondered if anyone would see them or if they would automatically get destroyed. It means a lot that you read them & were moved by the messages.
Thank you again for your work & for letting us know that we were heard!

      With kind regards,
      A Patriotic American

  3. Has anyone seen what happened with all the post cards. How many was sent. Was anything on any news channels?

  4. I sent 12 post cards written at a home gathering of others doing the same. I sent them March 15 from my local post office (thanks to the postal workers) with prayers and hopes for many new tomorrows ( for us all and for Donald Trump and his cohort too). His way is not healing or helpful . Courage to all

  5. I addressed and distributed 50 pink cards. One woman took it further and made an additional 20 to give to her friends. If the pink postcards are being trashed as soon as they arrive at the DC Post office, perhaps I’ll fill them out and stuff each in an envelope. Yes, there is more postage, but more might make it to the White House.
