Three Potholders…A Pink Crow, A Goddess and A Sprouting Tree Stump

I was cleaning up my work table when I found the three small squares of fabric with stitched drawings on them.  They were some experiments for my Holding Pillows.

When I first made them I put the aside and tried again thinking they weren’t exactly right.  But when I saw them a few days later, mixed in with all the fabrics I’d been using, I liked the way they looked.

That’s not unusual.

I often make something and am uncertain of it,  only to look at it an hour or a day later and find I feel differently.  That it actually looks good.

I know this is from being too close to it.  That I need to step back and often away to see it clearly.

I found the tree stump with the seedling growing out of it first, then the Goddess and Pink Crow.

I still have to make these and my Blood Moon Potholders into actual Potholders.  I’ll do that next week.  My list of Holding Pillows is growing so I’ll be busy making one of those tomorrow.
