I’ve been making Holding Pillows almost continuously for weeks. I still have about ten people who want pillows on my list. I plan on working on them regularly until I get to the end of that list.
Then I can imagine continuing to make them as I do my Potholders and quilts.
I can hardly remember when I sewed together the pieces that made my Pink House. I think I was making Potholders from scraps and this one turned out too big to be a Potholder.
It lay on my floor and at sometime between then and now two pieces of fabric found themselves on either side of the Pink House. They looked just right so I cut them to size and sewed them on.
Today I began sewing a few other pieces together that I think will go beneath this piece.
It may turn out to be the slowest quilt I ever made. If it gets that far….

I love the pink house. Maria, your work is absolutely beautiful, and meaningful.
Thanks Maggie. It feels like a special place to me. Something right from my imagination and inner self.
