Tempa wrote that she would like a Holding Pillow with soothing pastel colors.
I haven’t made a pillow with such soft colors before. Now that I think about it, it seems obvious to use such gentle colors for a Holding Pillow.
The colors came together easily. And when I had the top all sewn together, it was only moments before the saw, in my mind, the blue bird on the soft brown branch sprouting pink buds.
The Blue Bird is a symbol of happiness, joy and hope. It seems just right for this Holding Pillow with its calming colors. And a reminder to be happy whenever we can. Even if at times in life, it may just be for fleeting moments.
Tempa also wrote that along with the pillows being comforting, she felt they would be a good support for her spine.
And as I sit in my blogging chair writing this I know exactly what she means…
