I’m Making A Magnet Of Kim

I finally got around to choosing a picture of Kim and making it into a magnet.

I found a new company to work with called Sticky Brand.  They’re located in Burlington Vermont and they are very Vermont.  By that I mean they are environmentally conscious using eco-friendly inks and committed to “reducing its environmental footprint.”

The magnets will be 3 inch square and I expect to receive them in the next couple of weeks.

I decided to make a magnet of my ewe Kim because so many people have told me how much like her.  She has a sweet face and has always been a sensitive and gentle sheep.  She has also always been skittish, but the older she gets the calmer she has become.

Kim is my oldest sheep, at least 12 years old. The only sheep left from my original flock.  She has some trouble with her back leg, but is otherwise healthy.  All winter long she and Lori, my second oldest sheep, came into the pole barn to get grain to help sustain them through the winter.

When we got Kim, we didn’t know she was  pregnant.  She had a lamb but it died, I’ll never know exactly what happened.

Now Kim is one of the first sheep to come to the gate to get treats.  She pushes her way through Asher and Issachar and takes a treat right out of my hand.  She and Asher spend a lot of time together, I get the feeling he’s protecting her.  He loves to eat the hay from her wool too.
