
It looks like sculpture to me. The way the trees fall, lean on each other and bend.
They create doorways and spaces to dwell in, even if just for a short while.

It’s not only dead trees that form natures sculptures. Bent by a fallen tree, eventually the branches on trees like the one above grow up from the arch, making even more interesting shapes.

The reflection of this broken tree in the pond adds another dimension.

Not a sculpture, but I couldn’t help include my first sighting of a salamander of the season.
Unlike those warm raining days when the salamanders are everywhere, this was the only one I saw today, making it even more special.














These are great. I love the reflection and that first one…put a tarp over it and you’d have a cozy yurt. Beautiful salamander. I love your woods.
Yes, Carolyn, I think that when I see these. I imagine if I were staying over night in the woods, I’d do just that. :)
