I spent my morning packing up my Guardian Cherub Potholders and Kim Magnets. Just after lunch, I took them all to the post office. I still have a few Cherub Potholders and Kim Magnets for sale.
Jan, who bought Kim’s roving to spin into yarn, just bought a magnet of Kim. She wrote…”I think her dear face will help me to process her roving in a more timely manner! There’s another fleece on the wheel at present.” Jan is planning on spinning Kim’s roving on drop spindles as she walks over the next few months.
For those who don’t know, a drop spindle is a little stick, that you can use to spin roving into yarn. It’s very basic and the oldest form of spinning. I like the idea of Jan walking while using one. I tried it a few times just standing still and it was a challenge.
I didn’t get to my studio at all today, in the afternoon I did my bookkeeping. Not my ideal way to spend my time, but necessary.
Tomorrow I plan on working on tacking my latest quilt “I Sing The Body Electric.” It is also for sale. It is $450 + shipping. If you’re interested in it, you can email me at [email protected].
