It was a beautifully warm spring day. Warm enough to leave my studio door open while I worked.
Warm enough to hook up the hose to the pump. I know it will still get cold, by maybe not cold enough to freeze the water in the hose.
So warm that clover is starting to sprout in the barn yard. Enough that Lori chose it over hay.
Warm enough to make me start emptying the insulating bags of leaves around my studio foundation.
That’s the water soaked leaves to the right. It kept its form when I dumped the leaves out of the bag. It won’t last long, the donkeys will eat the leaves once they dry out.
