
I gave them hay, but when the sheep saw me walk to the fence to see how the grass was growing, they were right there along side me.
They stood at the gate baaing to get at it.
The grass may be long enough for them, but it’s not long enough to withstand their eating it down before it gets a chance to grow again. The grass along the fence is high, but it doesn’t grow evenly. Most of the grass in both pastures is still too short.
So we’ll wait a couple of more weeks before they begin spring grazing, no matter how much they protest.
