Two Pillow For Judy, Made With Sarong Fabric She Sent Me

Judy’s Pillows

My friend Jackie texted me this morning when I was doing my meditative wood stacking.  The first time I heard my phone ping I ignored it. But I had a feeling it was her.  The second time, I broke my mediation to look at my text messages.

It was raining in Glens Falls where we planned to walk and look for Lady Slippers.  Jackie wrote that she thought it was too early for Lady Slippers anyway, they come out later in the month.

So we agreed to postpone our walk and I got back to my wood stacking meditation knowing that I wouldn’t be seeing Lady Slippers, but I would be able to finish Judy’s second pillow.

I placed some pieces of fabric together yesterday for the second pillow.  But I was too creatively spent to see if what I was thinking would work or not.

This morning I basically liked what I had done. I made a few adjustments then started sewing.

The front of the pillow had a lot going on, so I wanted to keep the back simple.

Or maybe the back is the front.  Judy’s mom will have to decide.
