Ian was just about to arrive to shear the sheep and I still had some things that needed to be done. I had been working with Terry at the Food Pantry earlier in the afternoon. When they showed up at the farm, I knew could count on Braeden to help.
Braeden has always been great with the animals, but when he first came to the farm to help feed the animals and brush the donkeys and dogs, he was reluctant to do anything by himself. I think he was nervous about doing it wrong.
Yesterday I asked Braeden to feed Zip and open the gate for the donkeys to graze, which he has never done, and he didn’t hesitate.
It was great to have him there and I think the sheep appreciated him being there too.
