Grazing

Robin

Robin’s nose was green with grass this afternoon.

The sheep and donkeys can’t get enough of the spring grass.

Merricat

The first few days I let them graze for an hour twice a day.  Now that they are used to the fresh grass I close the gate after an hour and a half.  By that time the sheep come in willingly when they see me.

Fanny and Lulu need a little more coaxing.  Sometimes a carrot will entice them, otherwise I get behind them, spread my arms wide and say “Time to go donkeys!” in my loud and confident voice.
