I let the sheep out to graze when we got home from the hospital at 1:30 this morning. The sky was packed with stars and I had to remind myself that they are always there, I just can’t always see them.
Suddenly I was grateful to be up so late.
I went to bed and closed the gate when I got up at 6 am. The animals had more time to graze than usual, but then they waited longer than usual to eat too.
This afternoon we were back to our regular schedule.
The wild flowers are popping up, so I picked a bouquet for Jon to take pictures of. As I knelt down in the already tall grass in the pasture to take a picture, iPhone in one hand and flowers in another, Merricat reached down and gobbled up the flowers.

I swung around and snapped this picture as she did.

Then I gave Merricat the rest of the bouquet and picked Jon another one.

Maria, I just loved the picture of Mericat gobbling up the wild flowers you’d picked for Jon! It’s beyond adorable. Best wishes to Jon for a speedy recovery, and to you for your incredible resilience.
Kind regards ✨️ Diane.
:) It made me laugh Diane. Thanks!
