“I still have some room left,” Stephanie wrote me after she bought one of my Starling and the Paper Birch Potholders.
She sent me this picture of my Potholders hanging in her home. It looks to me like an exhibit of my Potholders, such a lovely thing to see!
I did get to my studio this morning but didn’t get much done.
Although I rearranged those kids hankies for the quilt I’m making with them in so many different ways. I have to remind myself, that that is the work. Even if I don’t have much to show for it today, it’s all part of the process.
Mostly I have to trust that it will all come together. And to let it go, not to push it when it isn’t working.
I think I’m still tired from staying up all night on Monday. I know that was days ago, but I’m emotionally tired too. It takes me while to get my head back to that creative space when I’ve been away from it.
Even if I get restless about it, I’ve been doing this long enough to know that if I give it some space, things will eventually fall into place.
