I got into my studio this morning and without hesitation, got right to work on my Kid’s Hankie Quilt.
Everything just felt into place.
The red fabric has tiny white stars on it and was just what the quilt needed to pull the pieces together.
I had to take apart the rabbit and duckling hankies that are now on the bottom of the quilt. I had them sewn together in a square, but they needed to stretch out under the other pieces.
Once the center was framed in red, I started working on the two sides of the quilt. I’m building on the idea of strips of fabric to fill in between the hankies.
It’s colorful and fun with lots to look at keep the eye moving. Each hankie it’s own little world with its story to tell.
It’s a work in process and its moving right along.
