Jon’s daughter Emma and his granddaughter Robin are here for the weekend. The first thing Robin wanted to do was feed the chickens and see Zip.
Later Robin and I visited with the sheep. Issachar and Fanny both came right up to her, Fanny giving Robin the once over with her nose. Her nostrils as animated as an elephants truck. But when Robin moved a little too quickly, they ran, clustering together, as if Robin was border collie.
Zip followed us to the pond where Robin spotted a frog long before I did.
Today, a rainy day, we’re going to the movies to see The Sheep Detectives. Emma and Robin saw it already and thought Jon and I would like it. I think the movie made Robin a little more interested in our sheep. Robin is also taller than the last visit and, I think, the sheep and donkeys seem a little less daunting.
I didn’t take any pictures, I was too busy to even think of it.
This morning I went for a little walk in the rain to the stream and path to the woods. I was greeted by the sweet honeysuckle and the pale green leaves of the shagbark hickory.
