Because they love animals so much, it’s easy for me to spend time with Jon’s grandkid, Robin.
Robin discovered Bud this visit, and spent lots of time cuddling him and even wrapped him up in the blanket on his wicker bench, which he seemed to love. The chickens got so many treats, they actually had enough and walked away.
It was a rainy few days, but that didn’t stop Robin from wanting to be outside with the animals. Zip got lots of attention too, all he had to do was show up and, as usual, he was the center of attention.
This morning before they left, Robin learned to feed the sheep treats, or a few of them anyway, without scaring them away. Even after Fanny and Lulu got their treats, they stuck close by while Asher, Issachar and Constance took treats from Robin’s hand. They threw treats to the rest of the sheep, wanting to make sure they all got some, and the sheep are now a little bit more trusting.
I’ll admit I had to keep myself from thinking, “sheep don’t do that” when we went to see the movie, “The Sheep Detectives“. The movie was silly, cute, at times funny and I even teared up at the end. A good way to spend a rainy afternoon.
