I looked at it again DawnMarie and I see what you mean. Its so good to have distance sometimes from the pictures I take and work I do and feedback like yours. Feeling with our eyes….I will think about that.
I love how what looks like an ancient broken tree still reaches high into the sky and sprouts new life from its creviced craggy-barked trunk. Nature teaches a lot about trust – that what we put in, or is already in, the ground will continue to flourish in its seasonal pattern; faith – that periods of extremes and adversity, weather anomalies or human-generated catastrophes , won’t destroy that trust; and hope – that what appears to be done-for may still have some life in it if we just give it some love and time. I don’t have a garden, but a windowsill of plants which continuously school me in this.
Oh Amy, you write about plants like you live in the forest. I love that you can gather so much insight from your windmill plants. What you say is so true of the natural world which we have to remember we are a part of. So what is true for the plants is true for us. Wonderfully written thank you!
I loved the comments, especially about nature. The tree whispers “crossroads” to me and who do we have at the base of it but Fate, the wheels in her head almost visibly turning with thought.
