My art is very much influenced by the seasons.
By what I see when I look out my studio window, what’s leafing and blooming in the woods where I walk, whether the sheep and donkeys are grazing or eating hay, and what is or isn’t growing my gardens.
This past week so many of my flowers began to bloom, the woods glowed bright new-leaf green and the animals are satisfied with an hour of grazing twice a day.
The flower fabric at the heart of these Potholders inspired the bright colors and design. As I sewed them, the words, “a garden in my heart” came to me.
The words came from what I was feeling as do my Potholders.
