Bud has his own jungle in the hostas, phlox, and milkweed in the back yard.
He can spend the whole day sniffing out mice and moles who live under the plants. And he often does, keeping watch and only stopping to bark as the Amish horse and buggy’s ride by or the UPS truck makes a delivery.
At night Bud sleeps well, going into his crate, or onto his dog-sized wicker bench or on Jon’s lap, exhausted from a day of work well done.
I have s soft spot for Bud the small but mighty warrior.
Such a blessing for him to have you 2 and his own private domain, filled with some of what he was born to hunt.
And caring humans
We feel lucky to have him too.
