Every morning I meditate for an hour. Sometimes I sit under the apple tree in the yard, or on the back porch if its raining.
Just as often I take a walk or sit on a rock or fallen tree in the woods. It is in the woods, that I find myself most easily. I aways come back with a calmer body and quieter mind.

Looking at the girl under the mushroom, wildflower or blade of grass with a snail on it (a reminder to slow down) I can wander in my mind to the calm and peacefulness that I find among those beings who grow in the woods.
I hope they can help to take you to a calm and peaceful place too. Even as you use one to pull dinner out of the oven, or a pot off of the stove. That is the beauty of functional art, to actually use it during the things we do in our everyday life.
