I spent a long time looking for these two little pieces of pansy fabric. I used a piece of them in my Garden Of My Heart Potholders and since then, I had the idea to let them the inspiration a Meditation Mat.
It was the tough little pansies that spoke to me and also the combination of yellow and purple.
I found the last two scraps of pansy fabric when I was making my Meditation Mat called “Wave“. This time I put them aside in a place where I knew I wouldn’t forget where they were.
This morning I went through by little box of fabric squares and pulled out the ones I though might work with the pansies. Then I emptied my baggie of yellow strips of fabric and purple strips of fabric on my studio floor.
Above is as far as I got today.
The thought that there is magic in the scraps kept coming back to me as I worked. With just a little input from me, I let the scraps tell me what they wanted to do.Letting size and color dictate.
I can’t help but think of the chakra colors and their meanings as I make my Meditation Mats. The strength and confidence of the yellow chakra located in the solar plexus and the spiritual awareness and awakening of the purple chakra found at the top of the head.
I’ll continue working my latest Meditation Mat tomorrow.
